Record badly. Ship beautifully.

A demo video maker that turns rough recordings into clean product demos.

Upload the take you already have. This demo video maker removes hesitation, wrong turns and dead time, then smooths the cursor and focuses the actions that matter — no new recorder to learn, no timeline.

What DemoRefine does

AI post-production for the demo video you already recorded.

Most screen recording tools assume the hard part is capturing the screen. For product teams, founders, marketers and support teams, the expensive part often starts after recording: cutting out hesitation, removing a wrong click, shortening dead time, fixing awkward cursor movement, adding zooms, and checking that every edit still tells the truth. DemoRefine is built around that second half of the workflow. You upload a raw recording from the recorder you already use, and the system analyzes the take as behavior rather than treating it as a flat video file. That is what separates this demo video maker from a capture tool: the video is evidence, not just footage.

Instead of asking you to work through a traditional video-editing timeline, DemoRefine looks for committed actions, exploratory movement, reversible mistakes, pauses, cursor paths and visual outcomes. It proposes a cleaned version, shows the exact fixes it applied, and keeps each change reversible. The result is designed to feel like reviewing AI suggestions rather than learning an editor.

Built for messy real takes

Keep the useful action. Remove the friction around it.

Hesitation cleanup

Shorten menu wandering, pre-click pauses and dead air when they do not add meaning. DemoRefine preserves the final committed action instead of blindly speeding up every quiet moment.

Mistake recovery

Recognize reversible paths such as opening the wrong tab, canceling the wrong modal or correcting typed text. When the recording contains enough evidence, DemoRefine can reconstruct the clean path from states that were actually recorded.

Visual polish

Smooth cursor motion, emphasize clicks and add intent-aware focus around important actions. Visual polish is separated from semantic changes so users can review the changes that matter most.

How it works

Upload, review, export. No timeline required.

1. Upload your recording

Use an MP4, MOV, WebM or M4V exported from your normal recorder. During the Private Alpha, recordings are limited to 500 MB and 15 minutes while we measure real-world processing costs and quality.

2. Review AI fixes

Your original remains available immediately. When the polished preview is ready, DemoRefine explains what it changed. Keep the AI fix or restore the original behavior for any review item.

3. Export the HD version

Once the review is complete, export a full-resolution result that follows the same edit decisions as the preview. Long recordings use windowed processing and resumable rendering rather than one fragile all-or-nothing render.

Product demo use cases

One cleanup workflow for the recordings teams already make.

DemoRefine is aimed at software product demos, release walkthroughs, onboarding clips, feature announcements, support explanations, internal handoffs and sales enablement. A founder can record a rough feature walkthrough without restarting every time the mouse overshoots. A product marketer can clean a launch demo without manually trimming every pause. A support team can turn an improvised troubleshooting recording into a tighter answer. A developer can capture a workflow in the tool they already use and let post-production remove the awkward parts.

The goal is not to replace every creative video editor. DemoRefine is intentionally narrow: it focuses on software UI recordings where the desired outcome is a clear, believable demonstration of what happened on screen. If you need multi-camera editing, cinematic color grading or complex motion graphics, a general video editor remains the right tool. If you mainly want a rough software recording to become a polished demo with less manual editing, DemoRefine is designed around that job.

Why it is different

The editing decision is the product.

Auto-zoom and cursor effects are useful, but they are not enough when the raw recording contains a mistake. DemoRefine's core work is deciding which behavior should remain, which behavior is exploratory, and which interval can be safely shortened or reconstructed. That is why its internal pipeline combines UI-state changes, cursor motion, temporal persistence and outcome validation instead of treating every click as equally important.

For long recordings, the system analyzes short overlapping windows, reconciles them into one continuous preview, and keeps edit ownership tied to source time. This makes it possible to update a single fix without recomputing the entire video. It also keeps the review experience timeline-free: a three-minute recording can contain many low-level adjustments while surfacing only the handful of semantic changes that deserve human attention. A demo video maker that shows you every raw cut is just an editor with a worse interface.

Works with your recorder

You do not have to re-record in a new app.

DemoRefine accepts common video exports, so the capture step can stay separate from the cleanup step. Record with the native recorder on your operating system, a browser recorder, a meeting tool, a dedicated screen recorder, or another workflow that can produce a supported video file. This matters when the recording already exists or when company policy, hardware constraints or personal preference determines which capture tool you use.

If you are specifically comparing capture-and-edit products, see our Loom alternative and Screen Studio alternative pages. Screen Studio has its own strong recording and editing workflow; DemoRefine takes a different approach by concentrating on AI post-production of an existing take and keeping the review workflow intentionally lightweight.

Private by design

Your demo result is not a public content page.

Private Alpha result pages are excluded from search indexing and require a per-job access token. The public marketing site can be crawled, while demo URLs, processing endpoints and media routes are blocked from search discovery. Jobs are also subject to an expiration window so uploaded recordings and generated outputs are not intended to live forever on the server.

This is especially important for product teams that may record unreleased interfaces, internal dashboards or customer workflows. Private Alpha is still a testing environment rather than a compliance product, so sensitive production secrets should not be uploaded unless your own testing policy allows it. The architecture is self-hosted on DemoRefine's production server rather than using a serverless video-processing path.

FAQ

Questions about this demo video maker.

Does DemoRefine record my screen?

No. The current product is post-production first. Upload an existing recording and DemoRefine prepares a polished version.

Does DemoRefine remove mistakes automatically?

It can remove or reconstruct certain reversible mistakes when the recording contains enough visual evidence. Semantic edits are treated more cautiously than visual polish and remain reversible during review.

Can I keep part of the original recording?

Yes. Fix Cards let you keep the original behavior for individual changes, then rebuild the preview and HD export from that decision.

What is the current upload limit?

The Private Alpha currently accepts supported files up to 500 MB and 15 minutes. The browser checks these limits before upload, and the server validates them again.

Are demo result pages indexed by search engines?

No. Demo pages are marked noindex, blocked in robots.txt, protected by a job access token and removed after the configured job-retention window.

How much does DemoRefine cost?

Private Alpha access is currently free while quality and usage limits are validated. See the pricing page for the planned Free, Pro and Team structure.

Use the recording you already have.

Upload a rough software demo and review the fixes instead of rebuilding the take on a video timeline — the whole point of a demo video maker is to save the edit, not hand you a new editor.
